This project is a public project and will provide a solid sports infrastructure including facilities like an aquatic centre, centre for sports excellence,
Indoor multi-sports arena, indoor multi Sports arena, tennis outdoor court along with other amenities. Once constructed, this project will provide
high-end sports facilities in the state of Gujrat and the neighbouring areas.
Project Specifications
The proposed project includes the construction of the Sports Complex at Naranpura, Ahmedabad under the Khelo India Scheme. This project is
currently under construction and will span over a land parcel of 20.38 acres. The proposed construction consists of 4 blocks. Block A, Block B, Block
C, and Block D. Block A will comprise an Aquatic Centre with a basement, a ground floor, and 2 upper floors, block B will comprise a Centre for Sports
Excellence with a ground floor and 5 upper floors, Block C will consist of an Indoor Multi Sports Arena which will have a ground floor and 2 upper
floors, and the D block will be dedicated to the Community sports complex with a ground floor, a basement, and 3 upper floors. The complex will have
a Tennis Outdoor court with 6 spectator stands, a ground floor, and 1 upper floor. Special provisions will be made for facilities like a basketball
outdoor court, volleyball outdoor court, and the fit India Zone. Special amenities like a jogging track, a tennis court, a swimming pool, a gymnasium,
an indoor and outdoor badminton court, a squash court, and a dedicated play area for children.
